Regional Secretary
Last in line is the Regional Secretary. The RS coordinates documents (internal and external), maintains overviews of records, coordinates official correspondence, assists the RC in maintaining the local newsletter, and provides general advice and duties for the RT.

The RS is appointed by vote in one year spans, on the priority of the following characteristics:

  1. A lot of spare time.
  2. Significant dedication.
  3. Skill in presenting large amounts of information in an organized way.
  4. Honesty, and the public judgement of trustworthiness.
  5. Open mindedness.
  6. A desire to be fair and reasonable.
  7. Strong and diverse communication skills and resources.
  8. Aggressive pursuit of goals.

The RS has the shortest potential span of service, due to the recognition that this job is an opportunity to cycle through the membership a position of strong responsibility. This gives the various members of the regional group opportunities to participate in the work of the operation, personal identification with the management and knowledge of the work involved, and allows opportunities for dropout-before-burnout, since this job can be seen as stressful and thankless gofer position by some.
