Signs of real-life vampirism

Under construction.
Here is the requested list of Sangi's symptoms, obtained from her in IRC chat last night. (Sangi herself has unsubscribed from alt.v.)In response, Bill Thompson (wrthomps@ix.netcom.com) wrote on January 19, 1998, under the subject heading "Depo-Provera/progestins (was: To Bill Thompson: Sangi's symptoms)":Sangi says she acquired the condition in question when she was 19. (She is now 27.) Her symptoms include:
- A craving for blood. Not just a liking, but a full-blown craving. When she doesn't get it, she feels nervous, high-strung, antsy yet tired -- like a "nicotine fit from hell." (She also does smoke.)
- Her eyes became very sensitive to bright light, which makes her eyes "very tired, like after swimming." She sees better in dim light.
- Skin sensitivities. Sunlight feels extremely hot on her skin. Also, she cannot wear most jewelry anymore -- whereas she previously wore it constantly, not even taking it off in the shower. Earrings make her ears itch and swell for as long as 2 weeks after. Most of her old rings, and her watch, make her fingers and wrists break out with bumps that itch and spread when scratched. For some reason, however, her wedding ring did NOT have this effect. (Perhaps because of the type of metal?)
- Sensitivity to high-pitched sounds, e.g. the 15kHz of a TV set. She always did hear these sounds, but they are more audible to her now, and they bother her more.
- Migraine headaches, accompanied by nausea. Previously, she had had only three migraines in her entire life. She now has them much more often.
- Her periods became very irregular. Previously, they were very regular, like clockwork. (Lately, she no longer has her periods at all thanks to Depo-Provera -- which also, for whatever reason, seems to have eased the craving for blood somewhat.)
- Her sense of smell is (or at least seems to be) in some ways more acute, or at least she notices certain smells more. For example, she says that she can "smell static electricity," by which she means, for example, that she can smell the ionized air (or whatever) in front of a CRT. (So can I, but only when I put my nose to the monitor.)

I've looked up Depo-Provera in the "Complete Guide to Prescription and Non-Prescription Drugs." One common side effect is a change in appetite. I don't know what would cause her (or anyone else) to hunger for blood, but this definitely makes it sound as though her blood-hunger has a physical basis. I don't think a psychosomatic problem would be clever enough to say (in effect) "Yum, Depo-Provera! Time to moderate the old bloodlust!"
(A couple of other people in alt.vampyres tried to attribute some of Sangi's signs to Depo-Provera. However, Sangi went on Depo-Provera only 2 years ago, whereas she was "turned" 8 years ago.)
